It’s back to school time and we have the perfect little snack for those brown-bag lunches…or for the sleepy mama on the way to drop the kids off…or for the hungry kid who just got off the bus. Whatever the occasion — this snack is for you!

One Twenty Six Mix - DIY Homemade Trail Mix -

As you probably know, we are not parents. (well…not to kids in America at least😉 ha!) However, we do believe in fueling your kids with good, healthy foods. That’s why we decided to mix things up for a change. (See what we did there?!) We took some of our favorite little snacky foods and threw them all together into a trail-mix concoction and BAM — 126 Mix was born! Super quick to make and super yummy to eat!

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Dried Banana Chips
  • Dried Coconut
  • Dried Cranberries
  • Yogurt covered raisins
  • Pumpkin Seeds
  • Sea Salted Mix Nuts
  • Melting chocolate

Here’s what you do:

Are you ready for this? Pour all the ingredients into a big bowl and mix. Drizzle melting chocolate over top. Let sit for 5 or so minutes to dry. Mix again. Enjoy. (We actually decided to dip our banana chips in melting chocolate as well, because, well… that’s what we do…but that’s totally up to you!)

And because everybody likes to start out on the right foot at the beginning of a new school year, why not bag it up and give it to your kid’s teachers as a way to say “May the odds be ever in your favor.” Because if we’re honest, teachers are the real MVPs…they take your kids and not only maintain control of them 5 days a week, but they manage to teach them valuable things, too. We think they deserve some 126 mix!

Happy munching!
