If we had to rank a bunch of our favorite things, Christmas time and all that comes with it would, without a doubt, be at the tippy-top of the list. So when we started planning for the blog launch, we decided we simply HAD to have a Christmas party. What is more fun than making yummy food, dressing cute, and celebrating friendships with the people dearest to us? And glitter! Loads and loads of glitter! It’s like Avenue 126 in a nutshell!
We began planning this party back in September, and it paid off. Megan’s stud-muffin husband designed our gorgeous invitations (see below), and we glittered the backs of them…(just ask someone that came to the party, they can tell you all about the glittery invites!) In order to ensure people would get the party on their calendar in plenty of time, we sent the invites out a month prior to the party date. Seriously, preparation is everything, y’all – and people notice that. Every sparkly detail turned out cuter than we ever could have imagined. The entire night was absolute perfection. We were so blessed by all of our sweet friends who got babysitters, rearranged schedules, and dressed up fancy to come hang out and be with us. The food was delicious (if we do say so ourselves), the drinks were festive, and the company was second to none. Needless to say, the glitter bash has made itself an annual occasion.
We could go on and on about every little thing we loved, but we will let the pictures speak for themselves. Links and directions to recipes and details are below. Some of the recipes were created by us, others we borrowed and modified from other sites.
