Ok ladies! We’re comin’ in hot with a really easy, and really different appetizer for you to make! If you have a party to go to soon, we think you should bring these. If you don’t have a party to go to soon, we think you should plan one and then have these there.
These are a sort-of spin off to your classic jalepeno poppers…except they aren’t fried, they don’t have jalepenos, and they taste better. So basically nothing like a jalepeno popper…okay moving on.
Here’s how what you’ll need:
- Asparagus, each piece cut in half
- Pepperidge Farm ‘Very Thin’ bread
- 8 oz garden vegetable cream cheese
- 2 tbsp butter, melted
- Sesame seeds
And here’s how you do it.
Begin by preheating your oven to 375. Cut the crusts off your bread and half each of your asparagus. Next, spread your cream cheese across one side of your bread, add your asparagus, and roll. Dip in melted butter and lay them, seam side down, on a greased baking sheet. Sprinkle your buttered popper with sesame seeds. Bake for 13-15 minutes or until edges are golden brown. Let cool and serve!
These things are delicious and super addicting! We promise you will leave the party with an empty tray. Happy popping, y’alls!
