We first decided we wanted to make our own board when Megan returned home from a trip to Chicago with some girls from work and was raving about the charcuterie appetizer they shared. So…we kind of just went for it. Annnnd we kind of nailed it. You’re gonna love this. Also you say charcuterie like this: ˌ/SHärˈko͞odərē/ you’re welcome.

Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Fruit(s) like grapes, cherries, peaches, or whatever you prefer
  • Cheese(s) and crackers {we used a wedge of white aged cheddar, and kerrygold irish Dubliner cheese}
  • Meat {we used salami and summer sausage }
  • Figs or Dates
  • Olives
  • And as a bonus, we added a few of our goat cheese and honey peach bruschettas!
  • Pair all of this with your favorite sparkling juice or wine and enjoy!
  • Also these are a few of our favorite wooden platters to serve your charcuterie on! Click here, here, here, and here.

Of course, you can add or subtract whatever you prefer. Then grab a platter of some sort and display all that goodness! You are sure to impress your friends and family at your next gathering with an app like this. And no one has to know that it took you about 3 minutes to put together! They will all just be like dang girl..you fancy, huh?!

Throw a picnic blanket down, enjoy the last few days of summer and enjoy!
